Baku Holiday Travel: Proud of Our Achievements!

As Baku Holiday Travel, we are proud to participate in significant events aimed at promoting Shusha, the cultural pearl of Azerbaijan, on an international level. The "Days of Shusha" event held on June 7th at the ICESCO headquarters in Rabat is a prime example of this. This magnificent evening, organized jointly by the Shusha City State Reserve Department, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Morocco, ICESCO, and the State Tourism Agency, showcased Shusha's rich history and restoration to the world.

High-level guests such as Aydin Kerimov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Shusha district, Salim bin Muhammad al-Malik, Director General of ICESCO, and Nazim Samadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Morocco, attended the event. This once again affirmed the international significance of the event and Shusha's place in global cultural heritage.

Shusha's Past and Future in a Photo Exhibition

Within the framework of the event, a photo exhibition presented by the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) attracted great interest from guests. The exhibition displayed photographs reflecting Shusha's historical past, its pre-war and post-war state, as well as extensive restoration and reconstruction works. Detailed information provided about each photograph allowed guests to get acquainted with the changing face of Shusha.

Our National Costumes and Rich Culinary Heritage

One of the unforgettable moments of the evening was the display of 18th-19th century Karabakh national costumes. These costumes, as part of Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage, provided guests with valuable information about their history.

In the culinary section of the event, Shusha's gastronomic heritage was particularly emphasized. It was noted that the Karabakh region, with its unique climatic conditions and a special place in the formation of our national cuisine, especially Shusha cuisine, holds a unique position in world gastronomy. The menu, highlighting the common aspects of Shusha and Moroccan cuisines, featured delicious dishes such as stuffed seeds, weed kebab, tandoor bread, colored stew, Karabakh ketesi, and basil syrup. Samples of Shusha cuisine served in national cooking devices like the tandoor also introduced guests to our country's tourist gastronomic routes.

A Concert Program Dedicated to Shusha's Revival

The culmination of the evening was a concert program dedicated to Karabakh and Shusha. Before the concert, the Director General of ICESCO, the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Shusha, and the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Morocco shared their valuable thoughts on the significance of "Days of Shusha" and the revival of the historic city after 30 years of occupation.

Our national dances, performed by members of the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble, and songs glorifying Karabakh and Shusha, offered guests unforgettable moments. This event was of great importance in terms of international support for Shusha's reconstruction process and promoting our culture to the world.

As Baku Holiday Travel, we will continue our activities aimed at increasing Azerbaijan's tourism potential and promoting its cultural values.
