On October 14, 2025, the 7th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Dialogue titled “Investing in Education for Azerbaijan’s Sustainable Development” was held in Baku. The event was jointly organized by the UN Office in Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Economy, and the National Coordination Council on Sustainable Development.
Key topics included education financing, new investment opportunities, human capital development, and the promotion of innovation. Speakers included UN Resident Coordinator Vladanka Andreeva, Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli, Chair of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Bahar Muradova, and Deputy Minister of Science and Education Idris Isayev. The panel session was moderated by Huseyn Huseynov.
UN economist Hurshid Rustamov presented an analysis of the education sector. The event concluded with the presentation of the SDG Dialogue Journal.
