#1. Fairmont Baku Flame Towers: Stunning Panoramic View
The Fairmont Baku is located in the Flame Towers (“Alov qüllələri” in Azeri), the new symbol of the capital city of Baku.
You can see the 3 flame-like towers built on the highest part of the city from anywhere.

Likewise, if you want to stay here, you will have the opportunity to see Baku and the Caspian Sea from a bird's-eye view.
To be honest, it is the best hotel in Baku with the most beautiful panoramic view.
And it really deserves to be one of the best 5 star hotels in Baku.
Let's see what it offers customers.
What Does Fairmont Baku Hotel Offer Customers Generally?
Fairmont offers clients and guests a total of more than 2,300 square meters of space.
Including; a gym, a swimming pool, and other recreational areas.
They've also got a bunch of conference halls — a couple of which are more than 5,000 square meters.
Five of them have all the gear you could ever need to set up a gig for anywhere between 430 and 1,000 people.

Well, that's fairly great if you're planning a business talk or a big event.
As for the rooms…
Room Types
First up, all hotel rooms of Fairmont Baku offer beautiful views of the city or the Caspian Sea.
Basically, there are 5 types of rooms.
Their names, in ascending order of price, are as follows:
Deluxe king room city view
Fairmont gold city view
Fairmont gold signature suite city view
Fairmont gold one bedroom suite city view
Caspian suite
The prices change, especially in the first 3 room variations, depending on the sea view or city view.
Long story short, the rooms at Fairmont Hotel are the same, but the views are different.
In the last 2 room types, you have only one choice.
The smallest room is 538 sq. ft. (50 sq.m.).
On the flip side, the largest is 1,291 sq. ft. (120 sq. m.).
Check-in and Check-out
The standard check-in time at Fairmont Baku, Flame Towers is 3:00 PM (15:00), and check-out is at 12:00 PM (12:00).
If you need some flexibility, they might be able to arrange early check-in or late check-out for you.
But I can't promise it'll work every time.
Amenities
There are tons of amenities out there that can actually be useful for guests.
But for now, I can list a few common amenities that Fairmont Baku offers:
Daily housekeeping
Wired and wireless internet access (high speed)
46" flat-screen TV with Pay-Movies.
Media panel with iPod connectivity.
Mini Bar with snacks.
In-room safe for your valuables and so on.
You can also ask for some amenities like a crib or kids' stuff (just hit up the concierge), as well as an umbrella and so on.
Reviews
You know, there are a lot of reviews on popular hotel booking websites like Tripadvisor, Expedia, and so on.
Of course, it's a real pain to verify and compile all of these things from dozens of different sources.
But that's what I do; providing accurate information to you.
What I have read is that 90% of the guests are satisfied with the Fairmont Baku Hotel's services.
In the same vein, people who have had bad experiences tend to make specific comments.
For example, like:
“The sushi wasn't very tasty”.
Or “I'm not a fan of the view from the room overlooking the city” (I only see asphalt) etc.
With all things considered, there's a pretty good chance Fairmont Baku will definitely meet your expectations.
Prices
Prices for the rooms at the Fairmont Baku Hotel run from about $200 to around $800.
For example:
The cost for a "Deluxe King Room with City View" option for two adults for one night in January would be approximately $220.
Though, keep in mind that prices depend on availability, the season, and current promotions.
Let's move on to #2 on the list of the best Baku hotels 5 star.
#2. Four Seasons Hotel Baku: Near the Historic Old City
The Four Seasons Hotel Baku is located almost right on the seaside of Baku, at 1 Neftchilar Avenue, next to the Old City.
That is to say, if you stay here, you'll have no trouble finding fun things to do in Baku.
Philharmonia Garden, the old town walls (Icheri Sheher), and many other attractions will be right next to you.

Let's dive in and see what they’ve to offer.
What Does 4 Seasons Hotel Baku Offer Clients Generally?
In fact, the 4 Season Hotel Baku opened newly, on September 3, 2012, and has 171 rooms, 27 of which are deluxe.
There are also two presidential suites:
Khazar and Liman.
Likewise, as with Fairmont Baku, they also have enough meeting rooms:
"Shur," "Jahargah," "Bayat-Shiraz," "Humayun," and "Shushtar," if you need a place to meet.
They are all named after mugham (classical music of Azerbaijan).

As I said, the most important feature of the Four Seasons Hotel is its location.
I think that's enough for me to place it second on the best hotels in Baku list.
Let's head to the rooms, if you're up for it.
Room Types
To tell the truth, the room types are slightly different at the Four Seasons for the same reasons as at the Fairmont.
I mean, both in terms of price and other amenities.
So, again, the prices and experiences you can get depend on what you're looking at.
This is not the case in all hotels of Baku.
But this is how 5-star hotels usually work.
Anyways.
The Four Seasons Hotel Baku has a total of 3 room types:
Guest Rooms are categorized in this way:
Superior Residential-View Room
Deluxe Old City-View Room
Deluxe Park-View Room
Deluxe Caspian Sea-View Room
Premier Park-View Room
The suites, on the flip side, are as follows:
Executive Suite Residential-View Room
Executive Suite Old City View
Executive Suite Park View
Promenade-View One-Bedroom Suite
Panoramic View Two-Bedroom Suite
The smallest guest room is 48 m² (517 sq. ft.), and the smallest suite is about 75 m² (807 sq. ft.).
All rooms at Four Seasons Baku can accommodate at least 3 guests.
Check-in and Check-out
The check-in and check-out times at the Four Seasons Baku are the same as at the Fairmont Baku:
If you have more questions, you can ask them via Four Seasons Baku email address.
Maybe some of you want to organize a wedding, meeting, or event.
It'll help you either way.
Amenities
Here's a list of the standard amenities you'll find in all rooms at Four Seasons Hotel Baku:
What's more, the hotel has an indoor pool, a spa and health club, a nail spa, and a fitness center.
No kidding, in particular, the indoor pool is one of the most stunning I've ever seen so far.

Reviews
To give you an idea about the reviews on the Four Seasons Hotel Baku I can say:
Guests consistently praise the hotel's strategic position adjacent to Baku's Old City.
I think I mentioned something like this already.
Most of them also like the rooms, adorned with high-quality furnishings, French toiletries, and so on.
From another perspective, some guests have pointed out the need for better upkeep.
I mean, aspects like the condition of staff doors.
95% are satisfied. From what I can tell, it seems like…
Prices
Prices for the rooms at the Four Seasons Hotel Baku are also more or less the same as at the Fairmont Flame Towers.
Just a bit more pricey.
As an example, you'll pay around $250 per night for the Superior Residential-View Room.
However, it is worth noting again that these prices are mainly subject to change when you reserve a room.
Overall not expensive for a 5 star hotel in Baku.
#3. JW Marriott Absheron Baku: Iconic One from the Soviets
Number 3 on the list of the best five star Baku hotels is JW Marriott Absheron for the moment.
Eventually, I'll expand this list with another 10 or 20 5 star hotels in the city of the winds.
Well, it should definitely be on your radar if you want to:
Experience luxury with a nod to Baku's Soviet past.
Enjoy the stunning Caspian Sea views.
And mainly, give the Oriental and Italian dishes a try.
The JW Marriott Absheron Baku is also close to the Caspian Sea and Baku Boulevard.
I’ll have you know, there's even an underground passageway that runs from the hotel's courtyard right into the boulevard.

What Does JW Marriott Absheron Baku Offer Guests Generally?
Apparently, JW Marriott Absheron Hotel in Baku offers a bunch of options in terms of room selections.
The hotel has a total of 243 rooms, including the high-class:
Executive Studio
Executive Deluxe
Executive Premier
And President Luxe.
On top of that, the hotel's got a few dining options, as I mentioned.
Restaurants like:
Fireworks Urban Kitchen for anyone who loves Oriental cuisine or steaks etc.
Or, if you're in the mood for Italian, there's OroNero Bar & Ristorante.
And other on-property cafés or lounges, such as:
ZEST Lifestyle Café
The Tea Lounge
In fine, JW Marriott Absheron Baku has a wider variety of food options.

That's what the info I got from their website and other sources shows, at least.
For a 5-star hotel, this is all pretty interesting. Good deal.
Room Types
Speaking of room types, JW Marriott Absheron Baku hotel has a dozen options available to choose from.
Literally, a dozen options.
Here are all 12 room types, with the cheaper ones at the top:

Ambassador Suite, 1 Bedroom Larger Suite, 1 King, Sea view
Presidential Suite, 3 Bedroom Larger Suite, Sea view, Balcony
The smallest rooms are 42sqm/452sqft.
And they all have air conditioning.
Obviously, again, each room at the JW Marriott Absheron Baku is named differently depending on the view you'll experience.
I know someone’s about to roll their eyes and say, “Not again.” But hey, it’s the truth.
That's just the way it plays.
Well, the rooms with a nice view of the sea and the rooms that look out over the city.
Not forgetting, one more common feature of the rooms at JW Marriott Absheron Baku is that they've soundproof windows.
Check-in and Check-out
You can also check into the JW Marriott Absheron Baku any time after 3:00 pm, and you've got until 12:00 pm to check out.
It turns out, there's no need to mention check-in and check-out times.
Nonetheless, for someone, it might still be helpful.
Maybe in the hotels that I'll add in the future, it'll be different.
Because sometimes I've personally experienced and faced this problem.
Amenities
To add more about the certain amenities at JW Marriott Absheron Baku, they are as follows:
Complimentary on-site parking
Fitness center on-site
Pets and service animals allowed (up to weight of 10.0kgs)
Evening turndown service
International cable/satellite
Mini fridge and so on.
You can increase them with Unique or Luxury Amenities, but right now, that's really not necessary.
I think the most key part of the hotel would be its 13 event rooms, which can perfectly match your meeting or wedding organization plans:
For example, the biggest ballroom in the hotel, the “Sharq Zali” Ballroom.
Time to check what guests say about JW Marriott Absheron Baku.
Reviews
Apparently, guests are mostly positive about JW Marriott Absheron Baku.
Most of them emphasize the friendliness and willingness of the staff to do their best to ensure a pleasant stay.
For instance, a reviewer from the U.S. mentioned:
"The entire staff is genuinely helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay special."
A customer from Türkiye adds:
“Best service, reasonable five-star hotel in the city and best hotel to stay in Baku” and so on.
What about negative reviews?
Few guests experienced delays during check-in due to limited staffing in old reviews.
If we look at the big picture, 90% of the guests left happy.
They were very happy with the room rates in comparison to other top 5 star Baku hotels.
Prices
Needless to say, the room rates at JW Marriott Absheron Baku are relatively cheaper compared to the first two hotels.
Prices start at around $180 and go up to about $6,200 for the presidential suite.
Honestly, it's way more affordable.
If you’re a member, you can also get a discount.
Moreover, they offer deals and packages that can be quite useful for you as well.
Now, let’s move on to the key part of this post:
Baku accommodation booking; finding the best and cheapest method.
Book 5 Star Hotels in Baku: The Cheapest Way Explained
After briefly reviewing 5-star Baku hotel prices, I’d like to share some tips on how to book a hotel room at the lowest cost.
Well, if you've got your Azerbaijan eVisa and are looking for the best place to stay in Baku, this quicky will be worthwhile.
The thing is, hotels don't price their rooms the same for every country.
Even different agencies in the same country have different prices.
I reckon, the reason for this is the number of tourists they bring in.
But the big thing to consider is the price differences between popular hotel booking platforms.
Like Booking.com, Agoda, or similar ones.
Booking.com
Let’s say you (2 adults) want to book a room at Fairmont Baku for a stay between July 1 and July 8 (a total of 7 nights) via booking.com.
And let’s also select the “Deluxe King Room City View” for your stay.

As you see, they show the price as $1,767.79, but they don’t include VAT in the initial price.
When you add all taxes and fees, the total price jumps to $2,095.04.
This means Booking will charge you $2,095.04 in total.
I know this depends on the country and its specific tax regulations.
But at the end of the day, you're not going to get your VAT refund.
In Azerbaijan, you usually only get a VAT refund for the goods you buy.
Not the services you buy, like hotel stays.
Agoda.com
The same deal is on Agoda:

They're way more entertaining.
Look, they've even got a 75% discount for you.
Same room, pretty much the same final price: $2096.12.
So, if you're looking to book a five-star hotel in Baku on a budget, here's the best way to go about it.
Bht.az
Here's a screenshot from BHT.az.

As you can see, the dates, room, and number of people are all the same.
The price shown is five bucks higher, but everything's included (VAT).
If you pay now, you'll also get a $12 discount.
Check the final price:

Same thing again.
The main reason for this is that BHT has VAT contracts with the most reputable 5 star hotels in Baku.
Long story short, if you want to avoid paying extra costs for your Baku hotel booking, this is the best option.
Also, just so you know, you won’t be charged any VAT on the property.
Be at ease, have a safe journey and let your dreams come true.
