There're only a few articles on the best shopping malls in Baku.

And almost 100% of them are merely AI-written content with a lot of disinformation (I'm a great hater of that AI content).

That's why I decided to create something fleshy and easy-to-grasp: a listicle of the 8 best malls in Baku (from luxury to outlet) for you.

So if you're also a newbie to the City of Winds, this listicle will definitely help you learn which shopping mall is the right choice for you, along with:

Their addresses;

Opening hours;

Which brands you can find in these malls and much more.

Let's dive right in.

Note: I've specifically chosen the shopping centers (7 of them) that are close to the city center instead of the ones in run-down areas.

#1. Crescent Mall: The Newest One

  • Location: 68 Neftchilar Avenue

  • Opening Hours: Stores: 10am – 10pm, Supermarket: 9am – 11pm, Restaurants: 10am – Until Late

Crescent Mall is the newest and one of the most luxurious shopping malls in Baku, opened in May 2024. It’s located in the poshest area of the city, very close to Baku Bay.

Rising Crescent Mall on the shore of the Caspian Sea in Baku, Azerbaijan, on a sunny day.

With a massive 38,825 m² rental area, the shopping center has a 3-storey parking lot for up to 1,200 vehicles.

Within the mall, there’re also over 100 clothing, gastronomy, children’s entertainment (like Curve Bowling on the 3rd floor), health (like Befit fitness club and Hamam-Bath on the 5th floor), and other stores.

On top of that, along with the outdoor terrace and restaurant, there's also a musical water fountain with a laser show in front.

You can see it every hour from 3pm to 9pm.

But I'd recommend seeing it at night, as that's when the laser attraction looks its best.

Among Crescent Mall's services are electric car charging, free Wi-Fi, ATMs, wheelchairs, a prayer room, baby changing facilities, etc.

This shopping center, which has 6 floors in total, features stores of the following well-known brands:

  • Calvin Klein, Massimo Dutti, Lacoste, ZARA, Ramsey, Jimmy Key, McDonald's, KFC, Starbucks, and so forth.

It's better to see the mall map for precise information on which brand’s store is located on which floor.

Shortly, if you're a luxury shopping enthusiast or just want to find the perfect all-in-one place to shop, eat, be entertained, and relax, this Baku mall will fulfill your wishes: To a great extent.

Btw, don’t forget to join the Caspian Sea Cruise Tour after shopping here as well: It’s too close to be missed.

#2. Port Baku Mall: The Most Luxurious One

  • Location: 151 Neftchilar Avenue

  • Opening Hours: Shops: 10am – 10pm, Supermarket: 8.30am – 11pm, Restaurants: 10am – 11pm

Port Baku Mall is also located near Crescent Mall, just on the opposite side of Neftchilar Avenue to the north. Just to the west of it is the JW Marriott Absheron Hotel, one of the best 5 star hotels in Baku, and a little east of that is the Museum of Modern Art.

Luxurious Port Baku Mall at sunset.

So basically, the address of this shopping center is exactly where Baku's rich, high society, and important VIP guests from across the globe hang out.

That also means it’s the most luxurious one among our list of shopping malls in Baku.

Don't let the word "luxury" fool you, because here you can find things at reduced prices as well.

Opened in 2014 with a whopping 31,887 m² area, 3-storeyed Port Baku Mall offers a lot to its customers in terms of stylish fashion brands like:

  • Hugo Boss, Rolex, Jimmy Choo, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Balenciaga, Burberry, Gerry Weber etc.

To be honest, you can’t find all these showy brands together in one place anywhere else in Baku.

Besides, there’s Port Baku Bazar (the most luxurious grocery store in Baku) on the 1st floor, where you can buy food.

Don’t worry, it’s not the priciest on Earth like Fortnum & Mason or Harrods in London.

You can also dine or have a drink at the mall’s cafes and restaurants such as Gloria Jean’s, The Hunger, etc.

Lastly, they have a parking space for up to 400 cars, priced like a bottle of water: 1 AZN (60 cents) per hour - the cheapest luxurious advantage.

To see what is where, check the mall map.

#3. Ganjlik Mall: The Biggest One

  • Location: 14 Fatali Khan Khoyski Street

  • Opening Hours: Shops & Restaurants: 10am – 10pm, Supermarket: 9am – 11pm, Cinema: Until the last session

Number 3 on the list, and also by far my favorite, is Ganjlik Mall, which opened in 2016. Location-wise, it's just a couple of steps in front of the famous Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium.

Ganjlik Mall in Baku at night.

This shopping center also has a unique feature unlike any other on the list, in terms of reachability.

There’s a direct passage to this mall from the Ganjlik Metro station. As soon as you step out of the metro station, you can enter the (-1st floor) zone. Strategic move.

Another obvious difference of Ganjlik Mall compared to others is its huge 47,216 m² total leasing area which makes it the biggest mall in Baku.

Consisting of 4 floors in total, it can be said that this giant shopping center has almost everything a human being needs.

For example, on the -1st floor, you can find a drugstore, supermarket, and a bank; the 1st and 2nd floors are full of clothing stores; and the 3rd floor was specifically designed for dining and entertainment for both adults and children.

For detailed info, check out the interactive map.

As for the brands operating in it, I’d like to say it’s modest, unlike the two above on the list. So you can find brands like:

  • Mango, Penti, ZARA, Go Sport, Skechers, Bershka, Calliope, Colin’s, etc.

Also, it has a big car parking lot that can hold up to 1,000 cars.

Long story short, it’s the best mall in Baku for shoppers who love humble brands and want to shop at discounted prices: And therefore among the most packed as well.

#4. 28 Mall: The Busiest One

  • Location: 15a, 4 Azadliq Avenue

  • Opening Hours: Shops & Restaurants: 10am – 10pm, Supermarket: 9am – 10pm, Cinema: 10am – till night

28 Mall is the second shopping center opened in 2012 that we can truly call a mall in the real sense of the term. It comes from the first generation of Baku shopping malls (in the sense that we understand the word "mall").

The busiest 4-storey 28 Mall in the heart of Baku, very close to the 28 May metro station.

Despite the fact that this place is half the size (24,374 m²) of those above, its strategic location just in the vicinity of the central Baku railway station makes it quite beloved.

Other than that, just by stepping out of the 28 May Metro station (which is the busiest subway in Baku), you can see this shopping place on the right-hand side: Quite easy to get.

With its over 70 stores, you can find anything you want here:

From accessories, electronics, books, and perfumery to textiles, jewelry, pharmacy, and so on.

To be clear, the stores in 28 Mall Baku Azerbaijan are as modest as those in Ganjlik Mall.

What I mean by that is it’s an outlet mall with dozens of such brands as:

  • New Yorker, Aldo, Next, Calzedonia, Pull & Bear, Hummel, Stradivarius, Greyder etc.

Plus, on the 3rd and 4th floors, you can find some cafes and restaurants either for snacking or drinking.

If you feel very hungry and hear your tummy growling, I’d recommend ETiler Meat House on the 4th floor. For more, see the mall plan map.

Btw, it also has a 2-storey parking space for over 300 cars.

#5. Deniz Mall (Caspian Waterfront Mall): The Stylish One

In Azeri, Deniz Mall, or in English, Caspian Waterfront Mall, is distinguished by its extraordinary architectural style. Opened in 2020, the shape of this shopping place is inspired by the eight-pointed star on the coat of arms and state flag of Azerbaijan, as well as by the "Mirvari" café (was once the highlight of the Baku Boulevard).

Deniz Mall (Caspian Waterfront Mall in English) at night, located on Baku Boulevard.

Personally, this building reminds me of the Sydney Opera House (though they’re worlds apart from each other).

Thanks to its perfect location on Baku Boulevard, this mall is also so close to the city's main attractions like Highland Park, the Baku Eye (Ferris wheel), Mini Venice, and more.

After shopping and relaxing here, you can also pop by the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum to see rare Azerbaijani carpets.

The complex's large 40,737 m² area makes it roomy enough to host more than 85 world-famous brands and international restaurants.

When it comes to what makes Deniz Mall Baku unique, I’d say it offers far more entertainment options than the other major malls in the city.

Its 4th and 5th floors are entirely dedicated to entertainment, with attractions like Karting, Sky Park, Kinderland, and more.

As for the brand stores, you can find:

  • Nike, Swatch, Suwen, Pandora, Original Marines etc.

See the Caspian Waterfront Mall directory for more.

#6. Park Bulvar Mall: The First One

Park Bulvar Mall is one of the very first shopping centers in Baku to be officially called a “mall”. It opened in 2010 and was built at a cost of a whopping 41.5 million US dollars. After 15 years, it may seem a bit small now, but at the time, it’s considered the best mall in Baku: All-in-one.

Park Bulvar Mall, located on Baku Boulevard at night.

Honestly, I don't remember the last time I visited this outlet center, but I pass by it daily.

As I mentioned earlier, it's a bit smaller than the others - around 17,000 m².

On the flip side, considering its modest size, this retail complex offers parking space for about 550 cars at a time.

Apart from its shopping center duty, it offers several services like spending leisure time, dining, music, and watching newly released movies: Classic mall.

Park Bulvar Mall stores include such brands:

  • Adidas, Ray Ban, Tommy Hilfiger etc.

On the 1st floor, you can also find a bank (Azerbaijan Industry Bank) where you can exchange your currency.

If you need more info, check out the mall schema.

Not forgetting, on the 3rd and 4th floors, you can try a couple of various cuisines as well as authentic Azerbaijani food. Its restaurants are the best among the malls in Baku.

#7. Amburan Mall: The Open-Air One

Now it’s time to go far away from the city center of Baku with the Amburan Mall, which is located in Bilgah, at the north end of the eagle beak of the Absheron Peninsula. Think of it as the eagle’s nostrils.

I am adding this villa-style shopping precinct because maybe someone around you wants to go to the beach and then stop by an all-in-one place for entertainment and dining with their children.

Villa-beach-style Amburan Mall of Baku, located in Bilgah.

Opened in 2016, it has a pretty small leasing area of 7,202 m² in total. Maybe it's so small because of its location. You know, for a not-so-densely populated area, its size is okay.

At first sight, it looks like a beachy building (with cool trees around it) - like those in Greece or Hawaii; you remember this view.

And this feature differentiates it from those you’ve already gotten accustomed to. Though it has indoor facilities, its main feature is being an open-air mall.

But the coolest thing about Amburan Mall is that it has the greatest dedicated facility called Amburan Kids, which can help with the development and entertainment of your kids.

In this facility, there’re “playgrounds” like Sweet City, Builder City, Bono Bourg, Motor City, etc., for different age groups of children.

The downside, on the other hand, is that it doesn’t have famous brand stores within it (though it’s understandable).

So, if you're a beach lover, have kids, etc., this lifestyle complex might be the right choice for you.

#8. Metropark Shopping Mall: The Cheapest One

Turning back to the city of Baku, Metropark Shopping Mall is also an all-in-one-package complex that opened in the same year as 28 Mall (2012). Even though it's not as fancy as it used to be, it's still one of the best shopping spots thanks to its location.

Colorful Metropark Shopping Mall in Baku at night.

The complex has 7 floors in total and offers more or less the same brands and services as the other malls.

As examples of some brand stores in Metropark Shopping Mall:

  • Koton, LC Waikiki, Mango, adL, Pink, etc.

The fourth and fifth floors are all about kids, whether it's kids' clothing or entertainment. And the seventh floor is fully dedicated to restaurants.

For more see floor plan.

By the way, it has the cheapest car parking (0–30 minutes, without a dime), which can serve about 350 cars at a time.

That’s all about the best shopping malls in Baku. Hope this guide listicle helps you get the best shopping, entertainment, and relaxation experience.

Whenever I discover new ones, I’ll update that post further.

Have a nice shopping in Baku.
